My First Trip to Watchmaking School

Just a two-hour flight from Rhode Island lies Harrison, Ohio—home to the American Watchmakers-Clockmakers Institute (AWCI). I recently completed their Introduction to Watchmaking course, which provided an in-depth dive into the mechanics and servicing of mechanical movements. The wealth of knowledge and the caliber of education at AWCI are truly brilliant. I’m already looking forward to returning next year for the next core course on my path toward (hopefully!) becoming a certified watchmaker. If you’ve ever considered diving into the world of horology, I highly recommend making the trip. It was worth every minute and every penny.
